We cannot accept animal turn-ins.

The Humane Society of Montgomery County is not affiliated with either the Conroe Animal Shelter or the Montgomery County Animal Shelter (on SH 242).  If you live in Conroe and have questions about an animal turn-in, then please contact the Conroe Animal Shelter at (936) 522-3550.  If you are in Montgomery County and have questions about an animal turn-in, please call the Montgomery County Animal Shelter at (936) 442-7738.  We also urge you to try to find an animal rescue that can accept the pet you need to turn in.

We no longer have any pets for adoption.

If you are looking for a pet to adopt, please contact the Conroe Animal Shelter at (936) 522-3550, the Montgomery County Animal Shelter at (936) 442-7738, or check Woodlands Online or run a Google search for local animal rescues for other sources for pets for adoption.  We urge you to adopt a pet from a rescue, shelter, or an individual who either found a dog or cat and could not find its owner, or who can no longer care for his or her own animals rather than purchasing from a pet shop or individual breeder.  Many wonderful animals who need loving homes are out there just waiting to be adopted by YOU!

Thank you for your patience!
